Account Services

Worthington Public Utilities will send you a billing each month for services used prior to the billing date.  Bills are based on meter readings, on card readings or on estimated consumption if necessary.  The normal billing period will be as nearly as practicable to 30-day intervals.  Electric usage is measured in kilowatt-hours.  A kilowatt-hour is one thousand watts used for one hour.  For example, you use one-kilowatt hour when you turn on one 100-watt light bulb for ten hours.  Water and sewer usage are measured in gallons by the water meter.

If a bill appears to be abnormal, please contact Worthington Public Utilities immediately.  A subsequent reading will be taken and if there is an error, an adjustment will be made to the bill.  If there is no error in the meter reading, Worthington Public Utilities will try to assist you in determining the cause of the abnormal usage.  Please notify Worthington Public Utilities of any disputed or questioned bill before the due date to avoid late fees.
